World Anti-Bullying Forum
The biannual conference
The World Anti-Bullying Forum 2017 was initiated and hosted by Friends and took place in Stockholm, Sweden. The second conference, the World Anti-Bullying Forum 2019, was hosted by Dublin City University in Ireland and the conference will return to Stockholm in 2021.
WABF 2019
The World Anti-Bullying Forum 2019 took place on June 4th–6th at Dublin City University, Ireland. The conference was organized by Dublin City University together with The National Anti-Bullying Research and Resource Centre (ABC), International Bullying Prevention Associasion, UNESCO and Friends.
The conference was attended by 701 delegates from 48 different countries.The comprehensive programme consisted of 13 keynote speakers, 130 oral presentations, 89 poster presentations, 36 workshops etc. Prominent researchers from five continents did keynote addresses. The opening ceremony was attended by the President of DCU and the Lord Mayor of Dublin and the closing ceremony was attended by Mary Mitchell O’Connor, Minister of State at the Department of Education with special responsibility for Higher Education.

WABF 2017
The World Anti-Bullying Forum 2017 was held May 7th-9th in Stockholm, Sweden, attracting more than 550 delegates and experts from 37 different countries from all over the world. The conference was organized by Friends together with Linköping University, Örebro University, Stockholm University and the International Bullying Prevention Association.
The world’s leading researchers were present and a total of 150 different presentations, workshops and seminars were conducted during the three days of the conference. At the inauguration, we had the honor of having H.R.H. Prince Carl Philip and H.R.H. Princess Sofia as speakers, which contributed to attracting international attention not only to the conference but to children’s exposure to bullying in general.
In addition to world-leading researchers as keynote speakers, the first day of the conference was opened by a speach by Marta Santos Pais, the UN Special Representative for the Prevention of Violence against Children and the Swedish Minister of Education Gustav Fridolin welcomed the participants to the last day of the conference.
